“Therefore, go and make disciples"
Matthew 28:19
Discipling Christian university students to impact the world.
Tyrannus and Lydia Halls are small residential discipling communities of Christian men and women attending secular universities, where high-commitment discipleship under Jesus occurs.
In these halls, future laypeople, pastors and missionaries of the national church are nourished, challenged and equipped. For over six decades, we have seen graduates of our Halls transition into vital roles—serving as faithful leaders in the church and influential voices in government, banking, business, and academia.
The Halls
Our name is inspired by the hall in Ephesus, where the Apostle Paul lectured daily for two years (Acts 19:9-10). As a result of that high-commitment environment, the Word of the Lord spread throughout the region. We continue that legacy today by equipping students to be a light in their own nations.
Our Story
Dr. Charles and Elouise Corwin began the first Tyrannus Hall in Tokyo in 1959. Now, Chuck’s vision to equip young men and women through student leadership, biblical teaching, physical fitness and service has spread throughout Asia and Central Europe.
Supporting Students Today
Meaningful change happens both within and beyond the Halls. Our approach helps ensure that students have the necessary support and training to make an impact upon their own local families, churches and communities.
