BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING
Dear Family and Friends,
As you can see from the photos, the cement floor to the new Olomouc Lydia Hall (Czech Republic) went in last week. The next step will be to remove the roof and build the future OLH upon it. This upgraded facility will expand the capacity of the university student discipleship community in Olomouc from 9 to 14. Be encouraged. God continues to expand His Kingdom of disciples among the nations.
Two countries to the south, the situation in the Cluj Tyrannus Hall (Romania) hasn't improved. The student leader of the Cluj Tyrannus Hall left in early May for a great internship opportunity in England, and the founder who stepped in to help has many other commitments that make it virtually impossible to oversee well. The CTH Board is now considering closing it for the next academic year (October-June) if they can't find appropriate staff. Their situation is complicated by the fact that the CTH does not have adequate housing for a staff family or even a staff couple. This makes it especially difficult to find a quality CTH mentor. Please be in prayer for Cluj.
June is the month when the majority of Tyrannus and Lydia Halls in Asia begin their academic year. The critical need for a well-functioning discipleship community is committed Christian students. Please ask God to guide the leadership of the Asian Halls to His selection of students for this new year.
This morning I read what God said to Abram, “I will bless you…so you shall be a blessing” (Gen 12:2). Isn’t this one of the beautiful things about His Kingdom? Blessings that multiply and extend in ever-widening circles. Julie and I are ever so grateful for each of you, whether you have walked with us our entire missionary career or become a part of it these past few months. You have blessed us with your friendship and enabled us to be a blessing to others.
In His blessing to bless others,
Steve
